No Place to Rest
A narrative point-and-click about a child crossing a ruined city with a cat that glows brighter near contamination.
Playable
Where you begin
The situation
A child crosses a ruined city toward a settlement they have only heard about. A cat glows brighter near contamination. These cats were municipal monitors: built, defunded, and left behind as thoroughly as the child. Clean routes are gated. Contaminated routes are open.
How it plays
What you do
Choose routes through the city while juggling exposure, energy, and the cat’s willingness to help. As the evening gets worse, decisions are often made half-blind.
What is at stake
What the game treats as the problem
The danger is organised. Access to clean routes is controlled, while contaminated routes remain open. The pressure comes from the systems that decide who can pass and what they are exposed to.
